Headbands are one of our favorite accessories. Pretty, yet practical, headbands allow you to look good while keeping your hair out of your face and under control (especially if you haven’t washed it in a few days!). This week, we let Amanda Bronscheer of Mindalicious, Natalie Liao of La Vagabond Dame, and Taylor McMillan of The Undomestic Momma show us how to make headbands work. Check it out below!

French blogger Amanda Bronscheer’s beaded tribal headband is the perfect accessory to her cropped cut. It also matches her earrings, which have a similar tribal feel. The muted tones of her outfit — the taupe shirt, olive boots, and faded denim skirt — finish the casual tone of her look.

Aspiring fashion designer, artist, and journalist Natalie Liao showed off her creative side with a cute graphic tee that she cut herself. But what we like most is the scarf turned headband. The colors of the scarf really pull together her outfit, from the brown in her belt to the red on her lips and nails. Plus, the knot at the front gives her headgear a feminine twist.

Taylor McMillan opted for a beaded headband from Charlotte Russe to give her hair some serious sparkle. She kept her headband the focal point of her outfit by pairing it with a simple, sleek United Colors of Benetton blazer and classic Hanes white tee. Her Twelve by Twelve ripped jeans and suede brown booties from DSW add some great texture, making it a perfect day look.
